Curiosity & Clarity

The Inquisition.

I get it, you've probably got some questions. Here are the most frequently asked questions about mentalism, corporate suitability, and how to book me for your event.

The Art of Mentalism

What is a mentalist?

A mentalist is an entertainer who creates the illusion of mind reading, influence, and impossible predictions. I use a mixture of psychology, suggestion, body language, memory techniques, and a lot of practice to make it look as though I know what you’re thinking. There are no genuine supernatural powers involved—just carefully designed moments of astonishment to get people laughing, talking, and wondering how on earth that just happened.

Is mentalism associated with dark magic, witchcraft, or the spirit world?

Not at all! My mentalism is purely for entertainment. There’s nothing sinister or dark about it—just pure fun and amazement!

Can you make contact with my dead granny?

No—and I wouldn’t claim to. I’m not a psychic or a medium, and I don’t communicate with the spirit world or tell people their future. What I do is psychological entertainment: everything is designed to amaze and delight, never to play with anyone’s beliefs or grief. If anything around any topic feels sensitive for your group, just let me know, and I’ll steer well clear of it.

From what age would your act be suitable?

I generally recommend my performances for ages 12 and up. That said, I’ve had younger audience members in my stage shows who truly enjoyed the experience!

Corporate & Events

Our procurement team isn’t sure if a mentalist is suitable for a corporate event. Is it?

Yes, very much so. Despite the mysterious title, what I offer is a professional, clean, corporate-friendly form of entertainment that works brilliantly for conferences, awards nights, client events, and internal celebrations. No one is ever made to look foolish, and I’m always careful to respect company culture, HR considerations, and any guidelines you share. I’m used to working with event planners and procurement teams, so if anyone has questions or needs reassurance, I’m more than happy to talk them through how it all works.

Can you personalise your performance to fit our company values?

Absolutely! Having spent time in the corporate world, I know how important brand values, messaging, and tone of voice are. During our consultation, we can discuss your values, key messages, internal language, and any themes you’d like woven into the performance. I’ll then build this into the show, so it feels aligned with your organisation while still being fun, engaging, and a little bit mind-bending.

Are you available for private events as well as corporate functions?

Yes! As well as corporate events, I perform at weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, and all sorts of private celebrations. If you’d like to see more about the types of events I work at, you’ll find a dedicated section elsewhere on this site.

Do you work with charities?

I certainly do! Having been personally touched by cancer multiple times, cancer charities hold a special place in my heart, but I genuinely love supporting all kinds of charity work. Please reach out, and let's chat about how I can help.

Logistics & Booking

Why don’t you have a set price?

Every event is different, and the fee depends on factors like the number of guests, the style of performance, the venue, the date, and how bespoke you’d like the experience to be. Rather than guessing, I prefer a quick chat so I can understand what you have in mind and give you a clear, tailored quote. That way, you only ever pay for what you actually need.

How long does a performance typically last?

It depends on the format and your schedule. Close-up, mix-and-mingle performances usually work best over 1–2 hours, while a stand-up or after-dinner show typically runs around 20–45 minutes. We’ll chat through your timings, programme, and other elements of the event, then shape the performance length to fit neatly around everything else you have planned.

Do you travel outside of London?

Yes. I’m based in London but regularly travel for events across the UK and beyond. Travel time and expenses are simply factored into your quote. If your event is further afield, just mention the location in your enquiry, and we can work out the best option.

Do you provide your own equipment?

For most close-up and mix-and-mingle performances, I’m completely self-contained and don’t need any extra equipment. For larger groups or a stage-style show, a microphone and PA system are ideal so everyone can hear clearly. I’m very happy to work with your venue or AV team, and we’ll cover any technical bits in advance so there are no surprises on the day.

Do you do children's parties?

Unfortunately, I’ve transitioned my focus to more mentalism-based performances, which aren’t a great fit for children's parties. I apologise for any disappointment, but I want to ensure the best experience for everyone involved.

Can you predict the winning lottery numbers?

Well, you will have to book me to find out…
